Back to the Futureheads

futureheadsThe Futureheads can never be accused forgetting their roots. Sunderland is ever present in their lyrics their accents and the way they conduct themselves whether it be in Dubai or Marley Potts. Well they are back to play Sunderland for the first time in a long time. That’s right The Futureheads will play at Sunderland’s Independent on Saturday March 21st as part of the Three Night Stand fundraising events. The event is a fund raiser and all proceeds will be donated to the Marfan Trust who are the countries leading authority on research into Marfan syndrome.

If you have no idea what that is, well, look it up, that’s how I found out and that’s why this show is happening. It’s more than just an amazing gig, its proof that if you’re passionate/horrified/motivated enough about something then you make things like this become a reality. Of course The Futureheads in this intimate setting will be amazing but the support line up for those of us in the know would provide a Stirling evening in its own right. Also appearing are local sqwaaaaak rawwwwwk from B>E>A>K, Sunderland’s most undervalued gems The Bubble Project and Wearsides top tank toppers Frankie & The Heartstrings. Tickets are priced at £10 and are available at www.seetickets.com, Hot Rats (Sunderland) and RPM (Newcastle)
