Former Cell MatesFormed in 2004 by past/present members of LEATHERFACE, LOS COYOTE MEN, and THE GOLDEN VIRGINS, the first Former Cell Mates album 'Hustle' was released by 'Newest Industry Records' in 2005 and saw the band touring some of Europe, breakin' most of their gear, drinkin' all the beer and gathering comparisons from acts as diverse as Thin Lizzy, Danzig, The Replacements, and Lucero!

The second half of 2005 saw their début full length released on Newest Industry "Hustle", combined with an explosive live show earned the 'MATES the international recognition they so richly deserve. Kerrang called them “Soulful… Sweaty and wired… Former Cell Mates have the melodic driving punk thing locked down.”

After a succession of beer fuelled road trips loosely classed as tours with countless US peers usually of the Gainsville variety, Cell mates caught the attention of NME who penned them as “Raucous punk-rawk … sounds great to the sober ear but to the sozzled brain, it sounds mighty”

They're now back in 2008 with the addition of a forth member (Greg Robson of The Mercury League R.I.P.) and a second full length offering 'Who's dead and what's to pay?' release date 12th May 2008 on Householdname records, London.

May and June will see the boys back over the water stinking up venues and laybys across mainland Europe. The boys are in the studio at the moment recording for several split 7"'s due for release over the summer and plans for tours outside of western Europe in the pipeline.
