Blind Visionaries were originally formed around the song writing partnership of James Bell and James Berry in September 2007.A rare match who shared a love of poetic lyrics and weird visions of the universe and our place in it. Over the course of a year they had written hundreds of songs and after much searching found the perfect line up. With Laurence Haugh on keys, Jonathan Wall on bass joined by Vincent Haugh on Drums the band was ready to explore outer space. The Visionaries’ unearthly sound ranges from erupting Martian volcanoes to floating through time and space with subterranean homesick aliens. An abstract sound described by others as Alternative Apocalyptic Space Rock.
With themes as diverse as the apocalypse and modern society the Visionaries take a great pride in their refreshing lyrics. Their influences range from Muse to Rachmaninov, from Dylan to H. G. Wells, and from Chopin to Rage Against the Machine, producing a thoroughly wonderful circus of sound. Their plans for the immediate future include putting on knockout gigs and recording their first album. Their plans further into the future are nothing short of becoming the best live band on Earth and Mars.
