Manchester's In The City event is looking for unsigned bands to showcase their talent.
The event takes place over the 18th, 19th and 20th of October this year at the Midland Hotel in Mancester. In the past it has helped to launch the careers of many of the nation's most loved bands. Acts such as Oasis, Radiohead, Muse, Elbow, Coldplay, Doves and Stereophonics all benefited from In The City and this year's event could be the chance for another unknown gem to make themselves known.
It's free to apply and applications are open to musicians of all genres. To apply, fill in the online application form, add links to your music, a biography and a press photo. Founded in 1992 by Yvetter Livesey and the sorely missed Factory Records boss Tony Wilson it has become an event for leading luminaries in the UK music industry to congregate, discuss the future and uncover new talent.
For those who don't have their music online, applications by post are accepted with a three track CD. Send those to ITC Unsigned 2009, 8 The Brewery Yard, Deva Centre, Trinity Way, Salford, M3 7BB.
