Sunderland Music Forum in partnership with Generator present Head2Head Sunderland a day of music seminars and workshops that takes place Wednesday 13th May, The Place, Tavistock Place, from 1.00pm – 8.00pm and a showcase of live bands at The White Rooms from 8:30pm.
HEAD2HEAD Workshops and Seminars Wednesday 13th May 2009 The Place, Athenaeum Road, Sunniside (0191) 565 8317 1pm – 2.30pm Songwriting Masterclass with Duncan Lloyd With Maximo Park's guitarist, songwriter Duncan Lloyd and his experimental band Res Band who improvise songs only once and release them for free, so expect the unexpected with this exclusive one-off composition master-class. 3pm – 4.30pm Live Music Promoter Workshop Open to anyone interested in promoting live music events of any genre. This workshop will be an interactive discussion based on the fundamental principles of promoting live music events. 6pm – 7.30pm A&R Panel Session An ever-evolving media requires that bands keep ahead of the game – this seminar will look at the holistic approach to artist development.
Panellists include - James Endeacott: 1965 Records, Gerard Phillips: EMI , Joe Etchells: Universal , Hannah Overton: XL Records.
