fieldmusicTwo of our regions most treasured musical son’s have announced the release of new album Plumb on February 13th. A long awaited comeback from the brother’s Brewis will see the arty-tuneful tones of Field Music return to the indie fold with an accompanying UK Tour.

At 35 minutes and 15 songs long, Plumb will be released through the bands long standing label Memphis Records. Teaser track, (I Keep Thinking About) A New Thing, has already received massive support from fellow mackem and long-time friend of the Brewis’s, Lauren Laverne and her BBC 6 music colleagues.

Following on from 2010’s stunning double album, Field Music (Measures), the duo settled down this year to work in their new studio on the banks of the Wear, and set about re- producing their experimental blend of superior songwriting and intelligent production.

To get a taste of what is to come, you can stream and download (I Keep Thinking About) A New Thing for free on the bands official website www.field-music.co.uk.

You can catch Field Music on tour throughout February at the following venues below. However if you would like to see the duo closer to home, they will be playing a very special Bunker date on their return home to Sunderland. Further details of the event will follow.
