Manifesto Magazine has gone through a series of changes towards the back-end of this year, with a new editor coming through the ranks and a new online editor appointed. In conjunction with the growth of the local music scene, Manifesto has kept up with it’s subject, launching a new design and features that allow those thriving and breaking through across the North East, the opportunity to grace the magazines pages and similarly attract new listeners and fans with some online pr.
Editor Emma Howe said “Coming on board as Editor last year has been a big responsibility, but one I have thrived on. Manifesto encompasses all that local music is about, and our New Years edition will showcase just that, highlighting what has been a great year for music across the North East. It is a pleasure to have Frankie & The Heartstrings as our first guest editors of the year. Their success throughout 2011 was well deserved and has re-confirmed Sunderland as a ‘one to watch’ city for emerging talent across the UK. Hopefully we can keep up with the blistering pace that the scene has set itself and keep the people of Sunderland up to date with what is a really exciting time for music in our region”. Manifesto #24 will be available to read online at www.manifestosunderland.com very shortly!
